What this site receives, what it is used for, and where it is kept. Written short, and in a form you can check.
Who is responsible
Gelateria SINCERITA (株式会社シンチェリータ) operates this site. We are responsible for everything described here.
If you only read, we take nothing
This site sets no cookies to identify readers. It carries no analytics that follow what you read. We do not know which chapter you opened, or where you stopped.
Two things should be said honestly. First, the server that hosts this site keeps a record of each connection. That record includes the IP address and the time. It cannot be avoided if the site is to run, and it is not used to identify readers. Second, the typefaces of the text are loaded from an outside service. Opening a page therefore sends a request to the provider of those typefaces.
There is one thing that you can choose to keep. At the end of each chapter there is a button, Mark as read. Pressing it keeps that mark on your device, and nowhere else. It is held in the browser, in what is called localStorage, and it is not a cookie. Nothing is sent to us. What is kept is the address of the chapter and the mark itself. We do not keep your name, the time, or how often you opened it.
The Japanese and English editions are recorded separately. To remove one mark, press the same button again. To remove them all, use Clear the marks on this device, at the foot of the edition contents. If your device does not allow this storage, the button is not shown at all.
If you send something through a form
You may send your name and your email address when you write to us, or when you register. We use what you send only to reply to you. We use it for nothing else.
We do not use it for advertising. We do not use it to sell you anything. We do not pass it to anyone else without your consent, except where the law requires it. We do not ask for what we do not need.
Where it is kept
Storage and delivery use services from outside providers: the server, email, and the place where form entries are held. Before we use such a service, we confirm that the necessary safeguards are in place. SINCERITA remains responsible.
If you want it removed
You may ask at any time to see, correct, or delete your own information. Write to the address below. We will confirm that the request comes from you, and then act promptly. We will not ask why.
